Tabitha Bower will graduate from Boise State University in the fall of 2014 with degrees in English with an emphasis in writing and communication with an emphasis in journalism.
Tabitha has worked at Boise State’s independent student newspaper, The Arbiter, since 2012. She worked as a journalist for the news team and the Arts and Entertainment Editor prior to being elected Editor-in-Chief.
Tabitha’s passion and understanding of the ever-evolving media landscape has driven her to succeed in the news business. Her perfect day on the job consists of working closely with a staff of like-minded, driven individuals to produce creative, comprehensive and credible content with an interactive and user-friendly spin.
Her goal in the media business is to provide individuals with the information needed to be more engaged in the community.
Originally from a small town on the coast of Maine, Tabitha has now lived in Boise for four years and loves the small-town-big-city feel unique to the City of Trees. She has seen Boise grow immensely in her little time here and is eager to be a part of the city’s growth into a major metropolitan hub.
Tabitha has spent most of her adult life traveling around the country and the world, with her most notable adventure being a four-month backpacking trip through South East Asia. Travel and submersing herself in the cultures of the world are amongst her favorite activities.
When not working or caught up in a feeling of wanderlust, Tabitha can be found blowing bubbles with her four year old, Aiden, enjoying a glass of wine or freakishly obsessing over the beauty of hot air balloons.
